Your Permission to Use the Website
Subject to these terms, the company ( Hasty Stories ) gives you permission to use the Website. Everyone needs to agree to these terms to use the Website.

You may not falsely imply that you’re affiliated with or endorsed by the company.

You may not hyperlink to images or other non-hypertext content on the Website on other webpages.

You may not remove any marks showing proprietary ownership from materials you download from the Website.

You may not show any part of the Website on other websites with an iframe.

You may not disable, avoid, or circumvent any security or access restrictions of the Website.

You may not strain infrastructure of the Website with an unreasonable volume of requests, or requests designed to impose an unreasonable load on information systems underlying the Website.

You may not impersonate others through the Website.

You may not encourage or help anyone in violation of these terms.

Content Standards
You may not submit content to the Website that is illegal, offensive, or otherwise harmful to others. This includes content that is harassing, inappropriate, or abusive.

You may not submit content to the Website that violates the law, infringes anyone’s intellectual property rights, violates anyone’s privacy, or breaches agreements you have with others.

You may not submit content to the Website containing malicious computer code, such as computer viruses or spyware.

You may not submit content to the Website as a mere placeholder, to hold a particular address, user name, or other unique identifier.

You may not use the Website to disclose information that you don’t have the right to disclose, like others’ confidential or personal information.

Enforcement
The company may investigate and prosecute violations of these terms to the fullest legal extent. The company may notify and cooperate with law enforcement authorities in prosecuting violations of the law and these terms.

The company reserves the right to change, redact, and delete content on the Website for any reason. If you believe someone has submitted content to the Website in violation of these terms, contact us immediately.

Your Account
You must create and log into an account to use some features of the Website.

To create an account, you must provide some information about yourself. If you create an account, you agree to provide, at a minimum, a valid e-mail address, and to keep that address up-to-date. You may close your account at any time by e-mailing i n f o @ h a s t y s t o r i e s . c o m .

You agree to be responsible for all action taken using your account, whether authorized by you or not, until you either close your account or notify the company that your account has been compromised. You agree to notify the company immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised. You agree to select a secure password for your account, and keep it secret.

The company may restrict, suspend, or close your account on the Website according to its policy for handling copyright-related takedown requests, or if the company reasonably believes that you’ve broken any rule in these terms.

Your Content
Nothing in these terms gives the company any ownership rights in intellectual property that you share with the Website, such as your account information, posts, or other content you submit to the Website. Nothing in these terms gives you any ownership rights in the company’s intellectual property, either.

Between you and the company, you remain solely responsible for content you submit to the Website. You agree not to wrongly imply that content you submit to the Website is sponsored or approved by the company. These terms do not obligate the company to store, maintain, or provide copies of content you submit, and to change it, according to these terms.

Content you submit to the Website belongs to you, and you decide what permission to give others for it. But at a minimum, you license the company to provide content that you submit to the Website to other users of the Website. That special license allows the company to copy, publish, and analyze content you submit to the Website.

When content you submit is removed from the Website, whether by you or by the company, the company’s special license ends when the last copy disappears from the company’s backups, caches, and other systems. Other licenses you apply to content you submit, such as Creative Commons licenses, may continue after your content is removed. Those licenses may give others, or the company itself, the right to share your content through the Website again.

Others who receive content you submit to the Website may violate the terms on which you license your content. You agree that the company will not be liable to you for those violations or their consequences.

Your Responsibility
You agree to indemnify the company from legal claims by others related to your breach of these terms, or breach of these terms by others using your account on the Website. Both you and the company agree to notify the other side of any legal claims for which you might have to indemnify the company as soon as possible. If the company fails to notify you of a legal claim promptly, you won’t have to indemnify the company for damages that you could have defended against or mitigated with prompt notice. You agree to allow the company to control investigation, defense, and settlement of legal claims for which you would have to indemnify the company, and to cooperate with those efforts. The company agrees not to agree to any settlement that admits fault for you or imposes obligations on you without your prior agreement.

Disclaimers
You accept all risk of using the Website and content on the Website. As far as the law allows, the company and its suppliers provide the Website as is, without any warranty whatsoever.

The Website may hyperlink to and integrate Websites and services run by others. The company does not make any warranty about services run by others, or content they may provide. Use of services run by others may be governed by other terms between you and the one running service.

Limits on Liability
Neither the company nor its suppliers will be liable to you for breach-of-contract damages their personnel could not have reasonably foreseen when you agreed to these terms.

As far as the law allows, the total liability to you for claims of any kind that are related to the Website or content on the Website will be limited to $50.

Feedback
The company welcomes your feedback and suggestions for the Website. See the Contact section below for ways to get in touch with us.

You agree that the company will be free to act on feedback and suggestions you provide, and that the company won’t have to notify you that your feedback was used, get your permission to use it, or pay you. You agree not to submit feedback or suggestions that you believe might be confidential or proprietary, to you or others.

Termination
Either you or the company may end the agreement written out in these terms at any time. When our agreement ends, your permission to use the Website also ends.

The following provisions survive the end of our agreement: Your Content, Feedback, Your Responsibility, Disclaimers, Limits on Liability, and General Terms.

Disputes
Texas law will govern any dispute related to these terms or your use of the Website.

You and the company agree to seek injunctions related to these terms only in state or federal court in Texas. Neither you nor the company will object to jurisdiction, Website, or venue in those courts.

Other than to seek an injunction or for claims under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, you and the company will resolve any Dispute by binding American Arbitration Association arbitration. Arbitration will follow the AAA’s Commercial Arbitration Rules and Supplementary Procedures for Consumer Related Disputes. Arbitration will happen in Texas. You will settle any dispute as an individual, and not as part of a class action or other representative proceeding, whether as the plaintiff or a class member. No arbitrator will consolidate any dispute with any other arbitration without the company’s permission.

Any arbitration award will include costs of the arbitration, reasonable attorneys’ fees, and reasonable costs for witnesses. You and the company may enter arbitration awards in any court with jurisdiction.

General Terms
If a provision of these terms is unenforceable as written, but could be changed to make it enforceable, that provision should be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. Otherwise, that provision should be removed.

You may not assign your agreement with the company. The company may assign your agreement to any affiliate of the company, any other company that obtains control of the company, or any other company that buys assets of the company related to the Website. Any attempted assignment against these terms has no legal effect.

Neither the exercise of any right under this Agreement, nor waiver of any breach of this Agreement, waives any other breach of this Agreement.

These terms embody all the terms of agreement between you and the company about use of the Website. These terms entirely replace any other agreements about your use of the Website, written or not.

We want you to understand how and why Hasty Stories (“hastystories.com,” “we” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our websites, mobile apps, widgets, and other online products and services (collectively, the “Services”) or when you otherwise interact with us or receive a communication from us. This Privacy Policy applies to all of our Services.
What We Collect
Information You Provide to Us
We collect information you provide to us directly when you use the Services. This includes: Account information. To create an account, you must provide a username, email and password. Your username is public, and it doesn’t have to be related to your real name. We also store your user account preferences and settings. Content you submit. We collect the content you submit to the Services. This includes your posts and comments including saved drafts, your messages with other users (e.g., private messages, chats etc), and your reports and other communications with moderators and with us. Your content may include text, links, images, gifs, and videos. Actions you take. We collect information about the actions you take when using the Services. This includes your interactions with content, like voting, saving, and reporting. It also includes your interactions with other users, such as following, friending, and blocking. We collect your interactions with other users on our Services. Transactional information. If you sign up as a potential advertiser on Hasty Stories, we will collect certain information from you, including your name, address, email address, and information about the product or service you are purchasing. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe and PayPal), so please refer to the applicable processor’s terms and privacy policy for more information about how payment information is processed and stored. Other information. You may choose to provide other information directly to us. For example, we may collect information when you fill out a form, participate in Hasty Stories-sponsored activities or promotions, apply for a job, request customer support or otherwise communicate with us.
Information We Collect Automatically
When you access or use our Services, we may also automatically collect information about you. This includes: Log and usage data. We may log information when you access and use the Services. This may include your IP address, user-agent string, browser type, operating system, referral URLs, device information (e.g., device IDs), pages visited, links clicked, the requested URL, hardware settings, and search terms. Information collected from cookies and similar technologies.
We may receive information from cookies, which are pieces of data your browser stores and sends back to us when making requests, and similar technologies. We use this information to improve your experience, understand user activity, personalize content and advertisements, and improve the quality of our Services. For example, we store and retrieve information about your preferred language and other settings. For more information on how you can disable cookies, please see “Your Choices” below. Location information.
We may receive and process information about your location. For example, with your consent, we may collect information about the specific location of your mobile device (for example, by using GPS or Bluetooth). We may also receive location information from you when you choose to share such information on our Services, including by associating your content with a location, or we may derive your approximate location from other information about you, including your IP address.
Information Collected from Other Sources
We may receive information about you from other sources, including from other users and third parties, and combine that information with the other information we have about you. For example, we may receive demographic or interest information about you from third parties, including advertisers, and combine it with our own data using a common account identifier such as a hash of an email address or a mobile-device ID. Linked services. If you authorize or link other services (e.g., third-party apps or websites) to access your Hasty Stories account, Hasty Stories receives information about your use of that service when it uses that authorization. Linking services may also cause the other service to send us information about your account with that service. To learn how information is shared with linked services, see “How Information About You Is Shared” below. Information collected from integrations. We also may receive information about you, including log and usage data and cookie information, from third-party websites that integrate our Services, including our embeds, buttons, and advertising technology. For example, when you visit a website that uses Hasty Stories embeds, we may receive information about the web page you visited.
How We Use Information About You
We use information about you to: Provide, maintain, and improve the Services; Research and develop new services; Help protect the safety of Hasty Stories and our users, which includes blocking suspected spammers, addressing abuse, and enforcing the Hasty Stories user agreement and our other policies; Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, invoices and other support and administrative messages; Provide customer service; Communicate with you about products, services, offers, promotions, and events, and provide other news and information we think will be of interest to you; Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Services; and Personalize the Services and provide advertisements, content and features that match user profiles or interests.
How Information About You Is Shared
When you use the Services, certain information may be shared with other users and the public. For example: When you submit content (such as a post or comment or public chat) to the Services, any visitors to and users of our Services will be able to see that content, the username associated with the content, and the date and time you originally submitted the content.
Hasty Stories allows other websites to embed public Hasty Stories content via our embed tools. Hasty Stories also allows third parties to access public Hasty Stories content via the Hasty Stories API and via other similar technologies.

When you send private messages, messages via email, or private chats, the recipients of those messages will be able to see the content of your message, your username, and the date and time the message was sent. Keep in mind that additional users may be invited to join a private chat after you send a message. Moderators may elect to have this information forwarded to their email accounts and, as a result, any email received by these moderators will be subject to the terms and policies of the moderator’s email provider.
When other users view your profile, they will be able to see information about your activities on the Services, such as your username, prior posts and comments, karma, trophies, moderator status, Hasty Stories premium status, and how long you have been a member of the Services. If you choose to make the information public, your profile may also include your voting history.
We offer social sharing features that let you share content or actions you take on our Services with other media. Your use of these features enables the sharing of certain information with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the third party that provides the social sharing feature. For more information about the purpose and scope of data collection and processing in connection with social sharing features, please visit the privacy policies of the third parties that provide these social sharing features (e.g. Facebook, and Twitter). Please note that, even when you delete your account, the posts, comments and messages you submit through the Services may still be viewable or available on our servers. Otherwise, we do not share, sell, or give away your personal information to third parties unless one of the following circumstances applies:
With linked services. If you link your Hasty Stories account with a third-party service, Hasty Stories will share the information you authorize with that third-party service.
With our partners. We may share information with vendors, consultants, and other service providers (but not with advertisers and ad partners) who need access to such information to carry out work for us. The partner’s use of personal data will be subject to appropriate confidentiality and security measures. To comply with the law. We may share information in response to a request for information if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, including, but not limited to, meeting national security or law enforcement requirements. In an emergency. We may share information if we believe it’s necessary to prevent imminent and serious bodily harm to a person. To enforce our policies and rights. We may share information if we believe your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements, rules, or other Hasty Stories policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of ourselves and others. With our affiliates. We may share information between and among Hasty Stories, and any of our parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and other companies under common control and ownership. With your consent. We may share information about you with your consent or at your direction.
Aggregated or de-identified information. We may share information about you that has been aggregated or anonymized such that it cannot reasonably be used to identify you. For example, we may show the total number of times a Poll has been voted without identifying who the voters were. Ads and Analytics Partners We may partner with third-party advertisers, ad networks, and analytics providers to deliver advertising and content targeted to your interests and to better understand your use of the Services. These third parties may collect information sent by your computer, browser, or mobile device in response to a request for content, such as unique identifiers, your IP address, or other information about your computer or device. For example: Advertisers and Ad Networks Our ad partners and ad networks may use cookies and related technologies to collect information when ads are delivered to you on our Services, but Hasty Stories does not link to or provide them with your actual Hasty Stories account details. This means that Hasty Stories does not share your individual account browsing habits with advertisers. Hasty Stories cannot see advertisers’ cookies and advertisers will not see Hasty Stories cookies.
Analytics Partners
We use analytics partners (such as Google Analytics) to help analyze usage and traffic for our Services. As an example, we may use analytics partners to analyze and measure, in the aggregate, the number of unique visitors to our Services.
Your Choices
As a Hasty Stories user, you have choices about how to protect and limit the collection, use, and disclosure of information about you.
Accessing and Changing Your Information
You can access and change certain information through the Services. You can also request a copy of the personal information Hasty Stories maintains about you by contacting us (see contact details in the last section of this document).
Deleting Your Account
You may delete your account information at any time from the user preferences page. You can also submit a request to delete the personal information Hasty Stories maintains about you by following the process described in the “Other Information – Data Subject and Consumer Information Requests” section below. When you delete your account, your profile is no longer visible to other users and disassociated from content you posted under that account. Please note, however, that the posts, comments, and messages you submitted prior to deleting your account will still be visible to others unless you first delete the specific content. We may also retain certain information about you as required by law or for legitimate business purposes after you delete your account.
Controlling the Use of Cookies
Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove or reject first- and third-party cookies. Please note that if you choose to remove or reject cookies, this could affect the availability and functionality of our Services.
Controlling Advertising and Analytics
Some analytics providers we partner with may provide specific opt-out mechanisms and we may provide, as needed and as available, additional tools and third-party services that allow you to better understand cookies and how you can opt-out. Do Not Track

We store the information we collect for as long as it is necessary for the purpose(s) for which we originally collected it. We may retain certain information for legitimate business purposes or as required by law.
International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States and we process and store information on servers located in the United States. We may store information on servers and equipment in other countries depending on a variety of factors, including the locations of our users and service providers. By accessing or using the Services or otherwise providing information to us, you consent to the processing, transfer and storage of information in and to the U.S. and other countries, where you may not have the same rights as you do under local law.
Children
Children under the age of 18 are not allowed to create an account or otherwise use the Services.
